Rohit Shetty's most awaited film Singham Again is going to be released on the special occasion of Diwali on 1 November. On the same occasion, Anees Bazmee's directorial film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will also be released. Recently, Anees Bazmee had said on the clash of two mega films that he does not need any specific date to release his film. After his statement came out, it was being said that he is angry with Rohit Shetty. However, after making headlines, Anees Bazmee has now clarified his statement. He has said that his statement has been misrepresented.
Anees Bazmee wrote on his official X account (formerly Twitter), “Some media people have misrepresented my statement. Being a filmmaker with 3 decades of experience, I focus on craft and storytelling and do not get entangled in film releases and business dynamics. I have seen many films releasing on the same day and performing well.”
Further he wrote, it seems my words have been changed in translation. Let me repeat, I am very thrilled about both the films Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Two great films and two great teams, let's do it together.
What was Anees Bazmee's old statement
Anees Bazmee was asked some time back if he had spoken to Ajay Devgan regarding the clash. In an interview to Mid Day, he said, “Why should I go and talk to him? This is a business decision that is made between the producers. I am just a director. The team of Singham Again had already announced a Diwali release. Clashes are never good, so we had announced its release date a year ago. But what can we do now?”
I believe a good film doesn't need a date. I would be the last person to bother about release dates and box office business. These are just numbers decided by producers and distributors.
After Anees Bazmee's statement, there were reports that he is angry with the makers of Singham Again due to the clash. Let us tell you that meanwhile there are also reports that Kartik Aryan has requested Ajay Devgan to postpone the dates of Singham Again, to which he has also agreed.
