Diljit Dosanjh recently revealed that he fell in love with a girl in school when he was 8 years old. On the advice of his seniors, he even proposed to the girl. But the girl told this to the teacher.
When the matter went so far, Diljit feared that if his parents came to know about this, then it would be a big mess. In such a situation, he decided to run away from home, but a villager foiled his plan.
Diljit said- I proposed to the girl after being influenced by my seniors
In an interview given to Raj Shamani, Diljit said- I tried to run away from home when I was 8 years old. There was a girl in my school, because of her I tried to run away from home. Actually, when I was in school, some of my seniors asked me which girl I liked. I pointed towards a girl and said- I like her.
Then the seniors said that I should propose to that girl, only then we can get married. I got influenced by their words and told the girl what was in my heart. But that girl got angry at this and went and complained to the teacher. Then the teacher asked me to bring my parents to school. On hearing this, I felt as if my world had come to an end.
He left with the intention of running away from home, but a villager stopped him
Diljit further said- I went home after school. I took out two bananas and some other fruits from the fridge. Then I took my bicycle and left the house. I had gone just 5 minutes away from my house when I met a man from the village. He shouted at me and said- where are you going, go back to your home.
Earlier in the village other people could also scold me in my capacity as a father. Everyone lived like a family. Due to this, I could not succeed in my plan even though I wanted to.
After the first plan failed, I made an excuse of stomach ache and did not go to school for two days. On the other hand, the teacher also forgave me.
