Leader Online Desk: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has approached the court for bail in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections. He has sought regular bail in the ED and CBI case in the Delhi liquor policy scam money laundering case. In this regard, Sisodia has filed an application for bail in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. A hearing on this application was held today (12th) afternoon before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja. But the court avoided hearing Sisodia's application, so he did not get any relief. Earlier, Sisodia got bail for his niece's marriage
Manish Sisodia had filed an application in the Rouse Avenue court seeking interim bail to attend his niece's wedding. After hearing the arguments of Manish Sisodia and the investigating agencies, the court has granted bail to senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia for three days. The then Special Judge M. Nagpal had ordered Manish Sisodia to post a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and an equal amount as surety. Manish Sisodia was arrested on February 26 last year and has been in jail ever since. However, this time he sought bail on several grounds, which the court has repeatedly rejected.
