Deepfake video of NSE CEOs, beware while investing in shares! | leader


Leaders Online Desk: Deepfake videos using the face and voice of National Stock Exchange (NSE) CEO and Managing Director (MD) Ashish Kumar Chouhan giving investment advice on certain stocks have gone viral. The logo of 'NSE' has also been used in it. Against this backdrop, NSE has advised investors to beware of fake videos recommending certain stocks.

“It has been found that Ashish Kumar Chauhan's face and voice have been used in a wrongly posted investment advice video. “Such videos appear to have been made using sophisticated technology to imitate Ashish Kumar Chauhan's voice and facial expressions,” NSE said in a statement.

Therefore do not believe such fake audios and videos and do not follow any investment or other advice coming from such fake videos or other social media channels. It may be noted that NSE staff are not authorized to recommend any stock or deal in that stock. Additionally, NSE is trying to request these platforms to remove such fake videos wherever possible.
