Therefore, he has expressed the feeling that I would like to spend time here. He has the longest and most successful association with the IPL. He is the most capped foreign cricketer in IPL. In a recent interview, he expressed his heartfelt sentiments about India and its people.
David Warner not only comes to India as a member of the Australian team, but also stays in India for almost three months of the year to play the IPL. He stayed with Sunrisers Hyderabad for seven years. Besides, he was a part of Delhi Capitals earlier and is now part of this team again. He often talks about Indian films on social media and also shares his self-made reels and shorts. Indian filmmakers have also started using it in advertisements. He insists that India is his second home.
Speaking on R Ashwin's YouTube channel, Warner said, 'I don't have a home in India. I am trying to find a house here. Many people ask me if I want a house here. When I retire from cricket I want to spend some time in India.
He added, 'In the cities where I live in India, I go to malls with my daughters. In Australia, sometimes I get tall poppy syndrome. That means negative mindset always comes before positive mindset. But after coming to India everything was positive. People here are friendly. They are always positive about life. I get inspiration from them. Australia lacks this.'
'Whenever I walk out without security, the fans drive me crazy. They ask why you don't take security. Fans want to take pictures with me. But if my daughters were with me, they would sensibly keep their distance and protect our privacy. I was amazed to see their respect,' he also expressed his feelings. (David Warner)
