Czech Republic's Kristina Pijkova became Miss World-2023: India's Sini Shetty could only reach the top-8 round; Miss Lebanon was first runner up

Christina Pijkova of Czech Republic has won the title of Miss World-2023. Meanwhile, Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zeitoun was the first runner up. Contestants from 112 countries took part in the event. This event took place at the famous Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. The finale was broadcast live in more than 100 countries.

There was a Q&A session after the Top-8 round. In this, the jury asked Sini – How can work on women empowerment be done through social media?

In response, Sini said- Today social media has played a huge role in our lives. Social media has huge power, it can bring change in the society through conversation and awareness. I have full faith that today's youth can bring change in the world through this medium. Women empowerment can also be promoted through this. Standing on the Miss World platform, I assure that with better use of social media we can bring change in the society.

The event was presented by Karan Johar along with Miss World-2013 Mayne Young. The jury members of the event included famous news personality Rajat Sharma, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, actress Kriti Sanon and businessman Vineet Jain.

Nita Ambani honored with Humanitarian Award
Nita Ambani was awarded the Humanitarian Award during the event. This award was given to her by Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of Miss World Organization. Host Karan Johar was also present.

Who is Miss World Winner Kristina Pijkova?
Kristina Pijkova is a student and international model. 24 year old Christina is studying law and business administration along with working as a model. Christina opened an English medium school for underprivileged children in Tanzania.

She has established the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation in the Czech Republic. In which he has organized many schooling programs not only for children but also for the elderly and mentally challenged people.

Christina also loves playing the transverse flute and violin. He also spent 9 years in the Art Academy.

Who is the first runner up Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zetoun?
20 year old Yasmina Zetoun is a resident of Lebanon. His father is from Lebanon, while his mother is of Palestinian origin. Yasminazetoon is also studying journalism along with modeling. She has also been a TV presenter.

Yasmina Zetoun won the Miss Lebanon crown on July 24, 2022, beating 16 candidates. After this victory, she also participated in Miss Universe-2022.

India hosted Miss World for the first time in 1996
After liberalization in 1991, the Indian market was growing rapidly. At the same time in 1994, Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen won the titles of Miss World and Miss Universe. After these two awards came to India, the popularity of Miss World increased further in the country.

India got the opportunity to host Miss World for the first time in 1996. This event was organized in Bengaluru.

On one hand, feminist women said that such beauty contests are an attempt to humiliate a large number of women. On the other hand, some people said that such a program would put the culture and civilization of the society in danger. Describing Miss World as a program of capitalist forces, Karnataka Farmers Union President MD Najundaswamy said that if the organizers do not agree, the stage of the program will be set on fire. The protests became so extreme that the swimsuit competition, one of the Miss World competitions, was held in Seychelles instead of Bengaluru.

For this she decided to organize an international beauty contest. It was from here that the Miss World contest started.
