Leaders Online Desk: The gruesome murder of the live-in partner by beating him with a hammer and a belt for not having eggs in his meal took place at a construction site in Delhi's Palam Vihar on Tuesday (12th) night. Delhi Police has arrested the suspect in this case on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Lallan Yadav (age 35, resident of Madhepura, Bihar). (Crime News)
Further information given by the police in this case is that Lallan Yadav from Madhepura in Bihar had come to Delhi six years ago after a dispute with his family. His wife has died of snakebite. Meanwhile, six months ago Lallan met Anjali (age 32) in Delhi. Both fell in love. They started living together in Gurgaon. Lallan came home drunk on Tuesday night. He asks Anjali to cook eggs for dinner. Anjali refuses to cook the egg. He started arguing with her. Enraged, Lallan beats Anjali to death with a hammer and belt. He brutally hit her on the face with his hammer. After this, he fled the scene. Crime News
The body of a woman with a disfigured face was found at a construction site in Choma area on Wednesday (13). In this case, Lallan was arrested by the police from Sarai Kalekhan area in Delhi on Saturday (16). A case has been registered against him. Police said he confessed to the crime.
Crime News: Lallan-Anjali accommodation provided by contractor
On March 10, the couple along with other people had come to Gurgaon from Delhi for work. As they had no other place to stay, the contractor had given them accommodation at the construction site. On Tuesday night, Anjali and Lallan had a fight over food. He then beat her to death. Lallan had fled the scene fearing arrest. However, the police tracked him down. The hammer and belt used to kill the woman have been recovered, said Police Inspector Karamjit Singh.
