Cricket Match Fixing: Winds of fixing in Bengal cricket? | leader

Kolkata, News Agency : Wicketkeeper-batsman Srivats Goswami who played in 'IPL' has made a big claim of match fixing in Kolkata League cricket. A match in the Cricket Association of Bengal's (CAB) First Division League appears to have been fixed by the way some players were dropped. Goswami said that he was heartbroken to see all this. Goswami has also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

Goswami wrote on Facebook, 'This is a Super Division match in Kolkata Club Cricket. In the first video, the right-handed batsman is seen hitting the ball straight onto the stumps and then suddenly walking off the field. In another video, the left-handed batsman comes out of the crease on a wide ball to be stumped.'

The Town club ended Wednesday's three-day match at Salt Lake with seven points. Shakib Habib Gandhi's 223 runs took the Town Club to 446 runs in this match. In reply, Joyjit Basu's 100 saw Mohammedan Sporting score 281/9. After Basu's dismissal, the Mohammedan Sporting team collapsed immediately.

Report sought by 'CAB'

According to this report of 'PTI', Debbrat Das has not given any reaction on this entire matter. However, CAB president Snehashish Ganguly said that he has asked for a report from the umpire and inspectors. Snehashish is the elder brother of Sourav Ganguly.
