Leader Online Desk : Before the Lok Sabha elections, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge announced 'Women's Justice Guarantee' today (March 13). He announced that if the Congress party comes to power through this yajna, it will implement five special yajnas for women.
Kharge said that Congress is announcing 'Nari Nyaya Garanti' (Women's Guarantee) slogan today. If it comes to power at the Centre, under this plan, the Congress party will set a new agenda for women in the country.
Five schemes announced by Congress…
- 'Mahalakshmi Hami': Under this every woman from a poor family will be given an annual assistance of Rs 1 lakh.
- 'Half the population-full rights': Under this, women will get half the rights in the new appointments of the central government.
- 'Respect for power': Under this scheme, the central government's contribution to the monthly salary of Anganwadi, Asha and mid-day meal workers will be doubled.
- 'Adhikar Maitri' : Under this scheme, a para-legal i.e. Legal Assistant Officer Mitra will be appointed in every panchayat to make women aware of their rights and provide necessary assistance.
- 'Savitribai Phule Hostel': At least one hostel for working women will be constructed in all district headquarters. The number of these hostels will be doubled across the country.
