New Delhi, Further News: Lok Sabha election has begun. Congress has announced the second list of 43 candidates after the first list of 39 candidates. The list of 43 candidates from six states and union territories has been announced. In this, 12 candidates from Assam, 7 from Gujarat, 10 from Madhya Pradesh, 10 from Rajasthan, 3 from Uttarakhand, 1 from Daman Diu have been announced. Sons of three former chief ministers have been nominated in this list. Meanwhile, the third meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee will be held on March 15.
At the residence of Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge, Congress General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, treasurer Ajay Maken and spokesperson Pawan Kheda held a press conference. In this press conference K. C. Venugopal announced the second list of Congress candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In the list announced today, Congress has once again nominated Gaurav Gogoi, a young Congress leader from Assam. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath's son Nakul Nath has been nominated from Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara constituency. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot has also been nominated from Rajasthan.
A meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee was held on Monday. About 62 seats in 6 states were discussed in this. Congress announced the second list of candidates for 43 of them today. 33 out of 43 candidates are below 60 years of age. In the second list of Congress, there are 43 candidates including 10 from Open category, 13 from OBC, 10 from Scheduled Caste, 9 from Scheduled Tribe and 1 from Muslim. Nomination for Rahul Kaswan
Rahul Kaswan, an MP from Rajasthan's Churu constituency, recently joined the Congress. He was the sitting MP of BJP in that constituency, but he joined the Congress only yesterday, defying the BJP. After joining the Congress, the Congress has nominated him again from his constituency.
