Complaint filed against the makers of Yash starrer film Toxic: Hundreds of trees were illegally cut to make the set, Karnataka Forest Minister said – strict action should be taken.

KGF star Yash's upcoming film Toxic seems to be in trouble. The shooting of his film Toxic was going on in Karnataka, however, a complaint has been filed against the makers for illegal cutting of trees. Karnataka Forest Minister Ishwar Khandre visited the area and demanded strict action.

According to ANI report, a complaint has been filed against the production company of the film Toxic, KVM Mastermind Creation, the General Manager of Canara Bank and the General Manager of HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools). The allegations are that the makers of the film Toxic had rented the land of HMT in Bengaluru for the shooting. Hundreds of trees were planted at that place, but the makers of the film got them all cut down illegally.

Controversy started after satellite images surfaced in October

In October, some satellite images from the sets of Yash's film Toxic were revealed. In the old photographs, hundreds of trees are seen in that place, while the cutting done in the ground after the set was ready is clearly visible. After the pictures surfaced, Karnataka Forest Minister Ishwar Khandre visited the location in October.

He shared the satellite image of illegal cutting of trees and wrote, Illegal work is clearly visible in the satellite image. I came here today and visited. I have given instructions that strict action should be taken against whoever is accused of this illegal act as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of all of us to protect the environment. If illegal logging happens anywhere I will take action.

Kiara Advani has already been cast opposite Yash in the film Toxic. The shooting of the film started from 8 August. National Award winner Geetu Mohandas is going to direct the film. If reports are to be believed, the film will hit the theaters by April 10, 2025.
