Leader Online Desk: A terrible accident took place on Monday (20th) when a pick-up vehicle overturned at Kawardha in Chhattisgarh. 19 people died in this accident. 19 people were cremated at Semhara village of Kawardha district today (21st) on the dead bodies of the accident victims. 19 people were killed and over 25 injured when a pickup vehicle overturned in Chhattisgarh's Kawardha. A group of 25-30 people from the Baiga tribal community were returning in a pick-up truck after collecting tendu leaves. Meanwhile, the accident took place in Bahpani area when his vehicle fell into a 20 feet deep ditch. 19 people died in this. A simultaneous funeral procession was held for the deceased in this terrible accident. The people of the village also became emotional with this incident. Seeing the pyre of 19 people burning at the same time, the heart of the whole village was moved. After this terrible accident in Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on X, 'The road accident at Kawardha in Chhattisgarh is very painful. My condolences to those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. He further said that along with this, I wish all the injured to get well soon. PM Modi has also made it clear that the local administration under the supervision of the state government is involved in providing all possible help to the victims.
5 lakh each to the families of the deceased
The state government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those who died in this road accident in Chhattisgarh. Along with this, it has been said that all the injured will be given 50 thousand rupees. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has announced this.
