Kartik Aaryan's film 'Chandu Champion' released at the box office this Friday. According to the industry tracker website SACNILK, the film collected Rs 4 crore 75 lakh on the first day.
The overall occupancy of the film in theatres on its first day was 16.84%.
'Chandu Champion' is the biopic of the country's first Paralympic gold medalist Muralikant Petkar.
With this, this has become Kartik's third consecutive film which has done business of less than 10 crores on the first day. Earlier, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' released last year had an opening of 9.25 crores and 'Shehzada' had an opening of 6 crores.

Last 7 films got opening of more than 6 crores
This has become the lowest opening film among the films of Karthik released in the last 7 years. Earlier, Karthik's film 'Guest in London' released in 2017 had an opening of Rs 2 crore 10 lakh.
Since then, 7 of his films have been released. All of them have got an average opening of more than Rs 6 crore.
The film that got the biggest opening of Kartik's career is 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'. Released in 2022, this film earned Rs 14.11 crore at the box office on the first day.
Rajkumar and Janhvi starrer 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' got a better opening than 'Chandu Champion'. This film has done a business of 50+ in two weeks.
'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' got an opening of 6.85 crores
Talking about the recently released films, 'Munjaya' which was released last week earned 4 crore 21 lakh rupees on the opening day. Whereas 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' which was released before that got an opening of 6 crore 85 lakh rupees.
Supernatural comedy film 'Munjaya' is performing well at the box office.
'Munjaya' earned 3.75 crores on the second Friday
On the second Friday of its release, 'Munjaya' earned 3 crore 75 lakh rupees. With this, the total collection of this film has reached 40 crore 25 lakh rupees.
Earlier, the film collected more than Rs 4 crore on all working days (Monday to Thursday). It has made a tremendous collection of Rs 36.50 crore in the first week.
The film is getting tremendous benefit of positive mouth publicity.
