Case of firing at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment: Accused Hardeep said in police statement- he was connected to Lawrence gang 4 years ago through social media

On April 14, shots were fired at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment. So far 6 accused have been arrested in this case, who are being continuously questioned. Recently it has come to light that one of the accused has said in a police statement that he was connected to the Lawrence gang through social media.

According to a recent report by Free Press Journal, Haripal Hardeep Singh alias Harry, an accused in police custody, has said in his police statement that he had joined Lawrence's gang 4 years ago through social media. He was also in constant touch with Lawrence's brother Anmol and Rohit Godhra, who live in Canada.

According to the statement, Haripal Hardeep Singh joined the Instagram group sopuprajasthangolden09 4 years ago. This group has 377 followers and 147 posts. Pictures of Lawrence's gang members have also been posted in the posts of this group. In one post, Lawrence has been described as the president of Sopu Group. It also has pictures of Sidhu Moosewala and Salman Khan. Haripal came in contact with Lawrence gang only after joining this group.

Haripal Hardeep Singh has an Instagram account named harry_rai_sopu_haryana. This account has 433 followers and has 240 posts. In one post, Haripal Hardeep is seen saying, if someone kills one of ours, we have the strength to kill 10.

Many posts on his Instagram account also feature Rafiq Mohammad alias Golden, who has been arrested in the firing case. According to the chargesheet, Haripal Hardeep Singh has posted reels of video calls with members of the Lawrence gang. According to the chargesheet, Lawrence runs an Instagram account called Sopu Group 29.

Let us tell you that so far 6 people have been arrested in the firing case in Galaxy Apartment. The names of the accused are Vicky Kumar Gupta, Sagar Kumar Pal, Sonu Kumar Bishnoi, Anuj Kumar Thapan, Mohammad Rafiq Chaudhary (Golden) and Harpal Hardeep Singh. One of the 6 arrested accused, Anuj Kumar Thapan, committed suicide in police custody.

The case was heard in the special court on July 22

The hearing in the firing case was held on July 22. Special Court Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) Judge BB Shelke has said in the hearing that proceedings will continue against the five accused under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 34 (common intention), 120 (B). Apart from this, sections of MCOCA and Arms Act will also be imposed on the accused.

A 1736-page chargesheet was filed in the MCOCA court
On July 8, the Mumbai Crime Branch filed a 1736-page chargesheet in the MCOCA court. It contains the names of 9 accused including Lawrence. The Mumbai Crime Branch has also included an audio clip of the conversation between the shooter and gangster Lawrence's brother Anmol before the firing in the chargesheet.

News agency PTI has quoted the chargesheet as saying that Anmol had told the shooters to fire in such a way that Salman Khan gets scared. You guys should not wear helmets and keep smoking cigarettes so that you do not look nervous in the CCTV footage. Anmol had talked to the shooters on the Signal app. Anmol had also told the shooters that if they do this, their name will be recorded in history. It will also be covered in newspapers and media all over the world.

Salman was present at home when the firing took place

Mumbai Police had recorded Salman Khan's statement on June 4 in the firing case, which has been included in the charge sheet. Read the actor's statement-

  • 'I was sleeping that day when I heard the sound of firecrackers. It was 4.55 in the morning. The police bodyguard told me that two people on a bike opened fire on the balcony of the first floor of Galaxy Apartment.'
  • 'I am a film star by profession and have been working in the Hindi film industry for the last 35 years. On many occasions, a crowd of my fans gathers near my house Galaxy Apartment near Bandstand in Bandra. To show my love to them, I wave my hand from the balcony of the first floor of my flat. Also, when there is a party at my house, friends and family members, my father come, I spend time with them in the balcony. After work or early in the morning, I go to the balcony to get some fresh air. I have also hired private security for myself.'
  • 'In 2022, my father lodged a complaint at the Bandra Police Station. He had received a letter in which I and my family were threatened. In March 2023, I received a mail from an employee of my team on my official email ID, in which I and my family were threatened on behalf of Lawrence. My team then lodged a complaint at the Bandra Police Station.'
  • 'In January this year too, two people were trying to enter my farmhouse in Panvel with fake names and identity cards. When Panvel Taluka police interrogated them, it was found that they were from Fazilka village in Rajasthan, which is also Lawrence's village. I have asked all my people, relatives, family members to always remain alert. Mumbai Police has given me Y plus security. Trained policemen, bodyguards, private security bodyguards are always present with me.'

Salman has also said that attempts were made to harm him and his family earlier too. Salman later came to know that gangster Lawrence and his brother Anmol had taken responsibility for this attack in a Facebook post. Lawrence and his gang had threatened Salman and his family earlier too.

Let us tell you that on 14th April at around 5 am, 2 bikers fired 4 rounds at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment. The first arrest in the case was made on 15th April. The police arrested 2 accused. After this, the accused who provided the weapons were arrested on 24th April. Till 27th April, 6 arrests were made in the case, on whom MCOCA sections were imposed. After MCOCA sections were imposed, one of the 6 accused Anuj Thapan committed suicide in police custody on 1st May.

Salman is busy shooting for the film Sikandar

Salman Khan is busy these days shooting for his upcoming film Sikander. The shooting of his film is going on in Film City. Initially Salman Khan was going to shoot at real locations, however after receiving threats and firing, Salman is now shooting in Film City in view of security.
