Leaders Online Desk: 60 Indians who fell victim to the lure of getting a job in Cambodia have returned home. All of them were released from the Jinbei-4 site on Monday (20th). Meanwhile, a control room has also been set up in Sihanoukville for three days from May 21 to 23, according to an Indian Embassy press release. If Indian citizens are facing difficulties, they are advised to contact the embassy to return home.
According to information, the Indian embassy said on Thursday (20th), “60 Indians who were trapped in Cambodia by the lure of labor have been rescued. They have returned home. Cambodia Job Scam Recently the Indian Embassy has advised those seeking employment in Cambodia that “Indian nationals should secure employment through authorized agents approved by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). In a post on the 'X' account, the Indian embassy said, “Always committed to helping Indians abroad. The first batch of 60 Indian nationals rescued from fraudulent employers by the Indian Embassy in Cambodia has returned home. Thanks to the Cambodian authorities for their support.”
A temporary control room for three days in Cambodia
The Embassy of India is issuing a notice to caution Indians seeking employment in Cambodia to avoid falling prey to unauthorized agents. Indian nationals are advised to be careful not to use the visa for the purpose for which the host government has granted the visa, such as a “tourist visa”, to seek employment. A control room has also been set up in Sihanoukville for three days from May 21 to 23. The Indian embassy has also appealed to Indian citizens to contact the embassy to return home if they are facing difficulties.
