Byju's India CEO Arjun Mohan resigns, Ravindran takes charge | leader









Leaders Online: A new development in edtech startup 'Byju' has come to light. Byju's India CEO Arjun Mohan has resigned from his post. Interestingly, he stepped down from the post of CEO within 7 months. Byju CEO Arjun Mohan has resigned from his post and founder Byju Ravindran has resumed day-to-day operational responsibilities, the company said in a statement issued on April 15.

MoneycontrolArjun Mohan has confirmed that he is stepping down as CEO to pursue other opportunities due to declining business. Now Baiju Ravindran will handle the day-to-day operations. This will boost their morale, he added.

In September 2003, Baiju handed over the CEO post to Arjun Mohan, succeeding Mrinal Mohit. But in just 7 months he has resigned from the post of CEO.

Troubled edtech company Byju recently started layoffs over just one phone call. There were reports of employees being asked to leave without putting them on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) or giving them a notice period.

Byju's recently consolidated its operations into three focused segments: Learning Apps, Online Classes & Tuition Centers, and Test-Preparation. Each of these units will have separate leadership. Who will manage the business independently to ensure profitability. Because the company is currently facing serious financial problems.
