Leader Online Desk: The bail application of former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia, who is under arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam case, has been rejected by the Delhi Court today (30th). He demanded bail in both the CBI and ED cases.
It was the second regular bail application filed by Manish Sisodia in the money laundering and corruption case related to the liquor policy case. Sisodia is currently in judicial custody in both these cases. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue Court has denied bail to Sisodia after reserving a decision on his bail application on April 20.

In today's hearing, CBI counsel Pankaj Gupta opposed the bail application. He said, “Sisodia is a powerful person with political clout. Sisodia, the main accused in the case, is also not entitled to equality. A prima facie case has been made out by them for destruction of evidence and tampering. If they are granted bail, it may hamper the investigation.”

Liquor (liquor) traders who were given licenses by Delhi government under Excise Policy 2021-22. Licenses were also given to liquor merchants favored by the Aam Aadmi Party, who allegedly paid bribes for it. It is alleged. The Aam Aadmi Party has denied the allegations. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had scrapped the liquor policy due to irregularities and recommended a CBI probe. The ED had also registered a case on charges of alleged money laundering. Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on 26 February 2023 in this case. After this, the bail applications filed repeatedly by him have also been rejected by the court.
