Boyfriend ends life: Delhi High Court says, “Young woman liable…” | leader

Leader Online Desk: If a lover ends his life through adultery, it cannot be said that the girl has induced him to end his life. Clarifying that the girl cannot be held responsible for this case, the Delhi High Court granted pre-arrest bail to the girl.

A young man had ended his life due to the failure of a love relationship. A case was registered against a man along with a young woman in this case. Both of them had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court for anticipatory bail. A hearing was held before single bench judge Amit Mahajan.

One's wrong decision can be blamed on another

Justice Amit Mahajan clarified that wrong decision taken by a person of unsound mind cannot be blamed for inciting another person to end his life. Another person cannot be blamed for the wrong decision taken by him. Justice Amit Mahajan also observed that if a lover ends his life due to infidelity, a student ends his life due to failure in an examination and a client ends his life due to rejection of his case, it cannot be assumed that the young woman, the examiner and the lawyer respectively have encouraged them to end their lives. Bail granted.
