Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married on 23 June in Mumbai. After the registered marriage, the two hosted a wedding reception which was attended by family members and many people from the film industry. However, Sonakshi's brothers Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha did not attend the wedding, which surprised everyone.
The brothers' absence from the wedding of their only sister Sonakshi added fuel to the rumours that the actress' brothers were unhappy with the marriage and did not want Sonakshi to marry Zaheer.

According to sources present at the wedding, Sonakshi's parents attended the wedding and were very happy. But both the brothers were not seen at the wedding or the reception. Photographers did not see them entering or exiting the venue. Everyone found their absence very strange.
Luv Sinha reacted
Luv Sinha has given his reaction on the news of not attending Sonakshi's wedding. Talking to Hindustan Times, he said, 'Please give me a day or two. If I feel okay, I will definitely answer your questions. Thank you for asking this.'
Earlier, when the news of Sonakshi's marriage came out through media reports, Luv Sinha had said in an interview that he has no information about this. He is out of Mumbai.

Saqib Saleem performed the ritual
In the absence of both the brothers, actor Saqib Saleem performed the wedding rituals. When Sonakshi entered the wedding venue, Saqib was holding the flower sheet along with other family members. Usually the brothers perform this ritual.
