Leader Online Desk: BJP Yuva Morcha City Vice President Monu Kalyan was shot dead today (23rd) in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. He was close to Kailash Vijayvargiya, a cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh government. The incident took place in Chimanbagh area under MG Road police station limits of the city. The police have expressed a preliminary estimate that this incident took place due to prior enmity.

According to the police, Monu Kalyan was preparing for the saffron yatra on Saturday night. Two youths named Piyush and Arjun came to Chimanbagh Chowk on a two-wheeler. Both were discussing with Monu while sitting on the bike.. Meanwhile, Arjun who was sitting on the back of the bike took out a pistol and fired at Monu Kalyane. After this, both fled from the spot. The accused also fired at Monu's friends who were present at Chimanabagh Chowk, but they escaped. The injured Monu was rushed to the hospital by his friends, where doctors declared him brought dead.
There is no gang war in Indore city: Kailash Vijayvargiya
Akash Vijayvargiya, son of Kailash Vijayvargiya and former MLA of Indore Assembly, along with his supporters went to Monu's house and met his family. consoled them. Speaking to the media about this incident, Kailash Vijayvargiya said, 'This is a very sad incident. I have demanded the administration to take strict action against the killers. Monu Kalyan was our good worker. He was a party official. was I have come to know that Monu was shot by youths living in his neighbourhood. I am not aware of his family dispute. Law and order in Indore is good. It is not that there have been 10-20 murders. Now if the neighbor has committed the murder, what can the police administration do in this matter? However, Vijayvargiya also claimed that gang war is not going on in the city.
