'Bigg Boss 16' fame Abdu Rozik has got engaged. He will marry his fiancée Amira on July 7 in UAE. After expressing his happiness about the engagement on social media, many congratulated him. But, some started criticizing the bride after seeing her height. Abdu and Amira became victims of trolling.
In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Abdu told that he does not want Amira to join the glamor industry. Abdu also talked openly about the customs and future plans related to marriage. Read some key excerpts from the conversation:
How excited are you about the wedding?
I am very happy about this new phase of my life. Very excited. Amira is exactly the kind of partner I was looking for. However, maintaining a marriage is a huge responsibility. Every effort will be made to live up to the expectations of Amira and her family.
How long have you been dating each other?
About 4 months ago, I saw Amira for the first time at an Italian restaurant. I went there with my friends. At the same time, Amira was also present with her friends. By telling her friends, she got my number from my friends. Amira messaged. Just what then? Conversations started. Gradually we started liking each other.
During this conversation, which lasted for some three months, I realized that Amira was perfect for me. I liked its simplicity very much. He is also very intelligent. A few days later, we expressed our feelings to each other. Then we told our respective families. After permission from both the families, we decided to get engaged.
Shiv Thackeray is your close friend. What was the reason for hiding your relationship from him?
Actually, Shiva is very mischievous. I was sure that if I told him about Amira, he would condemn it. Discussion will start in the media also. This was the reason why I hid such a big thing of my life from him.
Not only Shiv, I did not discuss this with any of my friends. I believe that marriage is a personal matter between the boy and the girl and their families. According to my culture, it is not right to announce this. I took the decision secretly, then surprised my friends and fans.
There is a lot of discussion on social media about Amira's height. What would you say about this?
Initially, Amira had no problem with me being a media personality. But Amira and her family have been greatly affected by trolling on engagement pictures. He felt very bad. The way people are commenting about his height is very wrong. People are making fun of him. I don't want them to face any trouble in future. I will try my best to protect the privacy of his family.
In what customs will you get married?
Actually, Amira is from UAE, hence every wedding ritual will be as per the traditions of UAE. Had it been from Kazakhstan, we would have definitely followed our tradition.
Wedding preparations started?
Yes. To be honest, more than the marriage, we are planning after the marriage first. I want to build my own house. Both of us want to have a beautiful home. In which we spend our entire life. Honeymoon planning has also started. Well, can't reveal the destination yet.
Will Salman Khan also attend your wedding?
I will definitely invite him to my wedding. He is the elder brother, I am the younger one. I hope she attends my Nikah or the reception.
Tell us about Amira's career.
Amira is studying business. Actually, I want him to spend as much time as possible with my family. I am sure she will prove to be a good housewife. I don't want her to be associated with the glamor industry.
