Big news: Appointment of 223 employees of Delhi Women's Commission cancelled, Lt. Governor's order

Leader Online Desk : Lt. Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has canceled the appointment of 223 employees of Delhi Commission for Women without approval. According to his order, 223 employees of the Delhi Commission for Women have been dismissed with immediate effect. It is alleged that the then chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, went against the rules and appointed them without taking their permission.

In an order issued by Lt. Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, only 40 posts have been sanctioned in the Commission for Women. Employees of Delhi Women Commission are not entitled to contract.

The order, issued by the Additional Director of the Delhi Commission for Women Division, also stated that there was no evaluation of the essential posts before the new appointments. Permission was not taken to impose additional financial burden. Swati Maliwal, the then chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, is a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party. He resigned from his post on January 5 this year.
