New Delhi, Leading News Service: The Union Cabinet has decided to increase the minimum base price of 14 Kharif crops. This decision has been taken in the Union Cabinet meeting held in Delhi on Tuesday (19). This includes rice at Rs 2,300 per quintal which is 50 percent more than the cost price. Jowar Rs 3371, Bajri Rs 2625, Ragi Rs 4290, Maize Rs 2225, per quintal.
In cereals, Tur Rs 7550, Moong Rs 8682, Ud Rs 7400 per quintal. Apart from this, in oilseeds groundnut Rs.6783, sunflower Rs.7280, soybean Rs.4892, sheesham Rs.9267, Niger seed Rs.8717 per quintal. Among cash crops, medium yarn cotton has been priced at Rs 7121 per quintal and long yarn cotton at Rs 7521 per quintal. Apart from this, the central government has sanctioned Rs 7453 crore for wind power projects. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed the decision of the Modi Cabinet.
