Ratan Tata died on 9 October. Recently Amitabh Bachchan remembered Ratan Tata in his show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. Amitabh Bachchan said, 'Once we both were traveling to London on the same flight. He did not have cash at that time so he asked me for some money.

Amitabh Bachchan said, 'I cannot tell what a man Ratan Tata was. Really he was a very nice and simple person. Once we were sitting in the same flight to London. They landed together at London's Heathrow Airport. But the people who had come to pick him up from the airport had left. In such a situation, I saw him standing to the side and he then went to the phone booth to call someone. But then he came to me and said Amitabh can I borrow some money from you? I don't have money to call. Meaning, I couldn't believe how ordinary a person he was.

Amitabh Bachchan further said, 'Once my friend and Ratan Tata participated in a program. During that time Ratan Tata had asked my friend, can you drop me home? I live behind your house. I don't have a car. Big B says it was absolutely unbelievable.

Let us tell you, Ratan Tata and Amitabh Bachchan have worked together before also. Tata's production company, Tata Infomedia Limited, funded Amitabh's film Aitbar. But, the film was not successful at the box office. According to a report by Rediff, Tata Group suffered a loss of around Rs 3.5 crore on this film, after which they decided to exit the film industry.
