New Delhi, Leading News Service: The Supreme Court on Friday (June 21) granted two-week interim bail to Bhima Koregaon riot case accused Mahesh Raut to perform his grandmother's funeral rites.
On Raut's bail application, Vikram Nath and S. V. N. A hearing was held before Bhati's bench. Raut's lawyer demanded that interim bail be granted from June 26 to July 10 for the rituals to be performed after her grandmother's cremation.
The court accepted it. Mahesh Raut was earlier granted bail by Bombay High Court in June 2018. However, the court stayed the bail after the NIA objected.
