The Supreme Court has granted bail to Professor Shoma Sen with the conditions that he cannot leave Maharashtra, he should surrender his passport, he should give the details of his residence to the investigating agency NIA, and he should also give his active mobile number to the NIA officials. Prof. The court clarified that Shoma's mobile GPS should remain active and his phone should be linked to the phone of the investigating officer of NIA so that the location can be ascertained. Further in case of breach of these terms and conditions, the guarantee will be cancelled. Also, the Supreme Court has clarified during the hearing that Prof. Shoma Sen will be prosecuted. Sen has been in jail since 2018 on charges of alleged links with Naxalites, including the Bhima Koregaon violence. Is this case similar to co-accused Gonsalves and Ferreira in this case? Take this question. Bose advocated for Sen. Grover was asked. But, this case is more serious. There is no reason to keep Sen in jail. She has been in jail for more than five years.
