“Patel is accused of murdering his wife on April 12, 2015 while working at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland. A reward of up to $2,50,000 (Rs 2.9 lakh crore) will be offered to anyone who provides information on ten most wanted fugitive accused Bhadresh Kumar Chetanbhai Patel.” This has been announced by the FBI.

Patel is accused of killing his wife on April 12, 2015 while working at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland. He has been on the FBI's radar since 2017. But his address has not been found yet.

What exactly happened?

According to reports, Patel attacked his wife with a kitchen knife in front of customers in the back room of the shop and stabbed her several times. Patel and Palak were working the night shift at a Dunkin' Donuts store that night. The CCTV footage of the incident showed the two men going towards the dining room. Bhardesh was 24 years old and his wife was 21 years old when the incident took place. His wife Palak wanted to return to India after her visa expired. But the husband opposed him and after an argument escalated between the two, he killed her. Bhadreshkumar hails from Veeramgam in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

What is the charge?

Patel (Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel) has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. On April 20, 2015, the United States District Court in Baltimore issued an arrest warrant against Patel, who is absconding.
