Matches will not be held in 'this' area during winter
BCCI is likely to change the Ranji Trophy calendar for the next season. No matches will be held in North India during winter. Because the players have to face many problems like fog, lack of light. The full domestic calendar will be announced later. But this was the main agenda of the meeting where the BCCI Supreme Council discussed the tentative schedule for 2024-25. A senior BCCI source said that no decision has been taken yet. But Ranji Trophy may start in mid-October or after Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy like last years. In certain states, bad weather forces the team to miss essential matches.
