Athiya-Rahul started charity: Took this step for needy children, MS Dhoni and Virat also supported

Actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have announced a charity venture. This charity venture has been named 'Cricket for a Cause'. Both of them have started this venture to raise funds for Vipla Foundation.

Along with Athiya and Rahul, many famous people from the cricket world have joined this venture. This list includes names of players like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja.

Apart from these, the names of international players like Jos Buttler, Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran are also included.

Under this venture, Rahul and Athiya have organized a special cricket auction. In this, these players will donate their favorite things and raise funds for the foundation.

Athiya's grandmother started the Vipla Foundation

Athiya said about this venture- Vipla Foundation has been an important part of my childhood. I have spent many days after school teaching children and spending time with them. Through this auction, I hope to carry forward the legacy of my grandmother. Nani started Vipla Foundation for needy children.

Rahul expressed happiness on being a part of this venture

KL Rahul said- My first tour to the school was very emotional. The children motivated me to start this venture, of which Athiya's family has been a part.

When I approached people from the cricket world for this, they came forward to contribute to this great cause.

Athiya has been away from the silver screen for a long time

Talking about Athiya's work front, she was last seen in the film Motichoor Chaknachoor in 2019. In this film, she worked with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Athiya made her debut with the 2015 film Hero. She was also a part of Arjun Kapoor starrer Mubarakan.
