Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in the Delhi liquor case. A petition was filed in the Delhi High Court against Kejriwal's arrest, which was dismissed. Meanwhile, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has claimed that Arvind Kejriwal is being tortured in jail. On the other hand, the Supreme Court will hear the petition challenging Arvind Kejriwal's arrest on April 15. The matter will be heard before a bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta. AAP leader Kejriwal had approached the Supreme Court challenging the decision of the Delhi High Court.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Sanjay Singh said, “Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is being tortured in Tihar Jail on the orders of the Central Government. Sanjay Singh also said that he refused to meet Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal in person. The Tihar Jail administration hit out at the BJP along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that Kejriwal was ill-treated at the behest of the central government. Efforts are being made to demoralize Kejriwal in jail. This may be happening for the first time in the history of Tihar Jail. “According to jail rules, anyone can meet face to face in jail, but Arvind Kejriwal's wife is not allowed to meet face to face, when her ailing parents came to meet her in jail, she was told not to meet face to face,” Kejriwal added.
