The court, after hearing submissions from the jail administration, ED and Kejriwal's counsel, reserved judgment on Arvind Kejriwal's demand for insulin in jail and VC's demand with doctors. The court clarified that the verdict in this regard will be delivered on Monday, April 22, 2024, and asked the Tihar Jail administration and the ED to file a detailed reply by tomorrow. Kejriwal's demand to involve his wife along with doctors
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in Tihar Jail in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam, has an elevated diabetes level. Therefore, the jail authorities should be directed to administer insulin and allow 15 minutes of video conferencing every day regarding his chronic diabetes and blood sugar fluctuations. The petition has also requested the court that the wife should also be allowed to participate in the VC. (Arvind Kejriwal)
Kejriwal deliberately eats mangoes and sweets
Meanwhile, the ED yesterday (Dec 18) alleged that Arvind Kejriwal is deliberately eating “mangoes and sweets” in jail to increase his sugar levels.
