The ED has filed a caveat in the Supreme Court seeking to hear Arvind Kejriwal's plea before taking any decision.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday night in connection with the liquor policy scam. Meanwhile, Kejriwal has challenged the arrest action taken by the ED in the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear this petition on Friday. Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice M.M. The matter will be heard today before the special bench of Sundaresh and Bela Trivedi.

Referring to Arvind Kejriwal's plea for urgent hearing, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi told the Supreme Court, “If this process continues, many senior leaders will go to jail before the first polls. Please look into it.” A two-judge bench headed by Justice Sanjeev Khanna then told Singhvi that Kejriwal's plea would be heard before a three-judge bench.

Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday night. He will be produced in the court on Friday. ED has already arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders in connection with the liquor policy scam. 'ED' had so far summoned Kejriwal 9 times for investigation. He had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking protection from ED notices and arrest. The ED arrested him on Thursday night after the court rejected his plea.
