Arshad Warsi has talked about typecasting in Bollywood. Questioning the working of the film industry, he said that actors here are very quickly tied to an image, which becomes very difficult for any actor to overcome.

In an interview to the YouTube show Unfiltered by Samdhish, Arshad said, 'The industry works in a very funny way. If I do a serious role in my first film, I will be offered serious roles throughout my life. No one will know that I can also do comedy.'

Arshad gave the example of Tiger Shroff in Bollywood typecasting and said, 'Look at poor Tiger. He is seen jumping and fighting in every movie. What else will he do and how? The makers neither let him wear the clothes of his choice nor do they let him do anything else in the films. Every actor wants to do films of different characters and genres but the industry locks him in a box.
