Archana Puran Singh got trolled for her fake laughter: She replied- I am intelligent and educated, I also have a good understanding of comedy

The second season of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' is going to start soon. The first season received a mixed response from the audience. The judge of the show, Archana Puran Singh, who is known for her laughter and fun, has also faced allegations of fake laughter on social media. Archana talked to Dainik Bhaskar about these trolls and the show and shared her views.

I have a good sense of comedy

Archana said, 'Earlier in the show 'Comedy Circus' my laughter was put on some weak punch, due to which people started thinking that I start laughing at any joke. My laughter is fake. But it is not so. I am an intelligent and educated woman. I have a good understanding of comedy. If you watch Kapil Sharma Show, there will not be a single place where any joke is not funny and still I am laughing.'

Archana further said, 'People troll me, but it doesn't matter to me. The show is really fun. My job is to appreciate every character because a lot of hard work goes into it. For me, laughing, smiling and enjoying the act wholeheartedly is a part of this job.'

The basic structure of The Kapil Sharma Show will remain the same

On the mixed response to the first season, Archana said, 'Look, the basic structure of Kapil Sharma Show will remain the same. This is the format of the show. Now if the audience is saying that it looks old, then from where do we bring something completely different to bring something new? In the last season, we brought the biggest surprise – Sunil Grover. People ask 'what is new in this season?' and 'why do you want something new?' The answer to this is that the audience wants to watch Kapil Sharma Show, so it has some foundation of its own, some pillars, which work very well.'

Archana further explained how difficult it is to balance something new and old in the show. She said, 'We meet people many times. Some people say, 'Do what you used to do earlier, we want the same.' On the other hand, some people say, 'Do something new.' We have to maintain a balance keeping in mind both types of audiences – add something new and keep something that has been seen and liked earlier. The show has a format and we are following that.'

Praising the creative team, Archana said, 'The creative team of the show is amazing. They consider every aspect and ensure that the show meets the expectations of all the audiences.'
