AR Rahman sent notice to defamers: Asked to remove objectionable content within an hour, otherwise punishment can be imposed

Ever since the news of music composer AR Rahman's divorce from his wife Saira Banu has come, various things are being written about him on social media. In view of this, Rahman has taken legal action. He has issued an advisory, in which he has been asked to remove the objectionable posts made on his marriage and divorce.

AR Rahman has sent a legal notice to all the defamers. In which all YouTube channels have been asked to remove the videos of the alleged affair between him and his bassist Mohini Dey.

While sharing the post, AR Rahman had talked about separation from wife Saira Banu. After this, news of his linkup and affair with Mohini Dey started doing the rounds. Mohini Dey had reacted on social media to the link between her and AR Rahman's divorce and criticized all these posts, calling them nonsense.

In the notice issued by AR Rahman, it has been said that objectionable content should be removed within the next 24 hours time duration. If the objectionable content is not removed, a case of criminal defamation will be registered under Section 356 of the Indian Judicial Code 2023. In such a situation, under Section 356 (2) of the said Act, there can be a punishment of up to two years along with a fine determined by the court.
