Recently, Piyush Mishra shared about working for less money in Anurag Kashyap's film 'Gulaal'. In an interview, Piyush told that during this film, everyone had reduced their fees considerably. The purpose of this was to help Anurag. At that time, Anurag's films 'Paanch' and 'Black Friday' were stopped.
Piyush told that apart from acting in 'Gulaal', he also wrote lyrics and dialogues for which he was paid two lakh rupees. In an interview to Dainik Jagran, Piyush said about Anurag Kashyap, 'The kind of man he was, he was everyone's darling. I don't know how he is now, but at that time he was very honest.'
In an interview given to Lallantop last year, Piyush said that his and Anurag's views do not match. He said, 'We meet after a few years, but after 15 minutes there is nothing left to talk about. We drink coffee and smoke cigarettes and our conversation ends. Our political and moral views do not match. However, our emotional views are the same.
He is like a bone stuck in my throat. I can neither swallow him nor spit him out. This is our relationship. I cannot sit with him for long. We have nothing to talk about. He is a movie fanatic and I don't watch movies. What can I talk to him about?
Despite their differences, Piyush and Anurag worked together in the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' series. Last year, Anurag also launched Piyush's autobiography.
