'Anupama' fame Sudhanshu Pandey's romantic album – 'Behisaba' has been released. According to the actor-singer, he can sing the songs of Mohammad Rafi and Kishore Kumar with ease. But, giving voice to this album was no less than a challenge for him.
Let us tell you, at one time Sudhanshu used to be a part of the singing band 'A Band of Boys'. After a few years, he left the band and started focusing on his acting career. During an exclusive conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, the actor-singer shared some interesting things related to his professional life.
I have never been attached to my popularity
The songs of Band of Boys were very popular not only in India and abroad but also in the film industry. People were crazy about our work. Big actors and producers used to praise our work. We used to perform on big platforms. During the performance, people used to tear their clothes. We have also seen this situation in our career. But every day cannot be the same. Sometimes we did good work and sometimes we were average.
The best thing was that I never got attached to that popularity. When the time was not right, I used to think why is this happening to me? But then I surrendered myself to Mahakaal. This is the reason that despite so many ups and downs, I am satisfied with my career.
Social media is no less than a demon
Today's generation is very attached to social media. But it is no less than a devil. If you want to keep yourself healthy as an artist, then first of all you have to learn to keep yourself away from this devil. Believe me, I never focus on how many likes my work got on social media, how many followers increased, who commented what. I do not want to put myself in such a hell. I have never been attached to social media.
By the way, any artist is most hungry for praise. They want more and more people to praise them. In such a situation, detachment is not easy.
It is very important to be mentally strong
In today's time, every performer, artist and actor should focus on their mental health the most. Only then will they be able to stay in this industry happily and for a long time. There is a lot of competition and pressure in our industry. In such a situation, it is very important to be mentally strong.
It was not easy to give the Gen-Z feel to the song
I was excited as well as nervous for my album 'Behisaba'. Actually, I can sing Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Da's songs very easily but for the Gen-Z feel, you have to put in extra effort. It was not that easy. I am happy that I lived up to the composer's expectations.
