Actress Tripti Dimri, who became famous for playing the role of Zoya in Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal', her film 'Laila Majnu' is once again releasing in theatres.
This film, released in 2018, was Tripti's first film as a lead actress. Avinash Tiwari was seen opposite her in it. The film was directed by Imtiaz's brother Sajid Ali.
On Thursday, Tripti, her co-star Avinash and Imtiaz Ali arrived at a theatre in Mumbai to promote the film.

Imtiaz Ali, who was the producer of the film, shared a post informing about the re-release of the film. He wrote- 'On your demand, 'Laila Majnu' is being released again.
Grateful for your love which brought it back to theatres after six years. It is being re-released in theatres across the country on August 9.'

On Thursday, Tripti, her co-star Avinash and Imtiaz Ali reached a theatre in Mumbai to promote the film. On this occasion, all three also posed with fans. Imtiaz's daughter Ida Ali was also present at this event.

Tripti got this role without audition
In an interview with IANS, Tripti Dimri shared that she never auditioned for her role in 'Laila Majnu'. She was discovered by the casting head of the film and cast in the film because of her Kashmiri look.
Recently, Imtiaz had also re-released Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Rockstar' on the demand of fans.
