Andre Russell: Russell's impressive innings breaks Gayle's 'Ha' record leader

In the match, he completed his double century of sixes in the IPL. Russell became the fastest player to hit 200 sixes in IPL. 200 sixes in just 97 innings

Russell completed the feat of hitting 200 sixes in 97 innings in the IPL. Gayle had done this feat in 141 innings. Russell is also ahead of Gayle in terms of balls. Russell took 1322 balls to complete his double century of sixes, while Gayle, who was previously part of KKR, hit 200 sixes in the IPL in 1811 balls. Ninth player to hit 200 sixes in IPL

Russell has become the ninth player in the world to complete a double century of sixes in the IPL. Russell is the third West Indies player to hit more than 200 sixes in this tournament. Gayle and Pollard have done this feat before Russell. Along with him, players such as Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, David Warner and Suresh Raina are also included in this list. However, Gayle holds the record for most sixes in the IPL with 357 sixes. Next is India's Rohit Sharma who has 257 sixes to his name in this tournament.

Hit 5+ sixes in 13 innings

Russell hit three fours and seven sixes in a 25-ball innings. Russell hit more than five sixes in an innings for the 13th time in the IPL. He is the joint third player along with Pollard to hit five or more sixes in an innings.
