New Delhi, Leading News Service: Janak Kumar Garg, Chief Safety Commissioner of Northeast Frontier Railway, will conduct an inquiry on Wednesday (19th June) in the Kanchenjunga Express accident in which 9 passengers died and 25 were injured.
During the inquiry, persons having information related to the accident can appear and give evidence or can write to the Chief Railway Safety Commissioner and convey the information, railway sources said.
The Kanchenjunga Express met with an accident near Jalpaiguri station in North Bengal on Monday morning when a freight train collided with it. After this accident many trains were canceled while some trains were diverted. Sources informed that the Kanchenjunga Express reached Kolkata's Sealdah station early in the morning after the railway traffic became smooth.
