Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has undergone angioplasty. 81-year-old Big B was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai at 6 am on Friday. Our sources say that Big B was brought to the hospital in the morning amid heavy security.
Meanwhile, Big B has made a tweet, in which he wrote – Always grateful to you. It is being speculated from his tweet that he has expressed gratitude to the well-wishers after the surgery.
Amitabh got hurt on the sets of Thugs of Hindostan
He suffered a shoulder injury while performing an action scene in the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan. Although this injury was not serious. He was advised to use a body double but he decided to do the scene himself.
Aamir Khan also worked with Big B in the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan.
Vein of leg was cut during shooting of KBC 14
During the shooting of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 in 2022, the vein in Amitabh Bachchan's leg was cut by a metal piece. There was a lot of bleeding from his calf muscle on the set, after which he was taken to the hospital.
Was Covid positive twice
Amitabh had informed by tweeting in 2020 that he has been infected with Covid. His son Abhishek was also positive. Big B was hospitalized for two months for treatment. After this, in 2022 also Amitabh got infected with Covid.

Amitabh was injured even before Diwali 2022
Just before Diwali, Amitabh had informed about his leg's vein being cut. He himself had told through a blog that there was a lot of bleeding when the vein in his leg was cut. He also had to visit the hospital, where doctors stitched his leg. Amitabh Bachchan had given information about this incident through his personal blog.
Due to negligence, Big B was infected with the blood of a person infected with Hepatitis B.
In 2000, Amitabh Bachchan came to know that he had Hepatitis B. Actually this disease was the result of negligence. When Big B needed blood after the accident on the Coolie sets, there was a rush of blood donors. He was given 60 bottles of blood from 200 donors.
In a hurry, Big B was given a blood transfusion of a person infected with Hepatitis B, due to which he himself got infected. Amitabh Bachchan himself had said this when he was made the brand ambassador of the Hepatitis B campaign by the Union Health Ministry.
75 percent liver has stopped working
In 2000, Amitabh Bachchan suffered severe stomach pain. When Big B reached the hospital for treatment, he came to know that he had a problem with his intestine, for which he underwent diverticulitis of small intestine surgery. It was during the treatment that Big B came to know that he had liver cirrhosis. It was caused by hepatitis B. In 2012, 75 percent of Amitabh Bachchan's infected liver was surgically removed.
Big B was already suffering from asthma, liver problem and pneumonia.
Even before the accident, Amitabh Bachchan had liver problems and was also asthmatic. The very next day after the operation he developed pneumonia which worsened his condition. After treatment in Bangalore, he was brought to Mumbai by Airbus. He was shifted on a stretcher to Breach Candy Hospital by crane.
He underwent surgery again on August 8. There was a crowd of his fans outside the hospital round the clock. In the entire country, puja was being conducted at some places and yagya at other places. Jaya Bachchan herself had gone to Siddhi Vinayak to seek the well-being of Amitabh, but when she reached there, she saw that many people were already worshiping there for Big B. People's prayers bore fruit.
On 24 September 1982, Big B was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital.
Puneet Issar was punched on the sets of Coolie, his life was barely saved
On July 26, 1982, Amitabh Bachchan was injured on the sets of the film Coolie. This accident happened when Puneet Issar, an expert in martial arts, punched him hard during an action scene. As soon as Puneet Issar's punch fell on his stomach, Amitabh Bachchan fell on the ground. After some time he got up and said that he was having severe pain. Manmohan Desai immediately sent him to his hotel. Doctors also arrived.
During the film Coolie (1983), whenever the scene comes where Amitabh was injured, it is stopped and information about the accident is given.
For a long time the doctors could not detect the disease. Even after repeated tests, a clear diagnosis could not be made. Amitabh's condition was worsening. Then Dr. Bhatt of Vellore detected intestinal perforation in the X-ray report and said that pus has now started forming in the injury in Amitabh's stomach.
After this, emergency surgery was done on Amitabh, due to which his health improved.
