Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was honored with the Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Award on Wednesday. Amitabh arrived with son Abhishek Bachchan at this award function held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagrih in Mumbai. Here Big B was honored for his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.

Singer Usha Mangeshkar, the third eldest sister of the Mangeshkar siblings, gave this honor to Amitabh in the program. Earlier, singer Asha Bhosle was to give this award to Amitabh but due to her ill health, she could not attend the event.
In this award ceremony, musician AR Rahman was awarded the Master Dinanath Award and actor Randeep Hooda was awarded the special award. Actress Padmini Kolhapure was also honoured.
During this, Amitabh also recited a Marathi poem on stage.
Said- His love and affection was different
On this occasion, Amitabh also recited a Marathi poem remembering Lata Mangeshkar as Mother Saraswati. Big B said- 'Whenever I met Lata ji or whenever she met my family, her love and affection was of a different kind.
Amitabh-Abhishek, who reached the event, offered flowers on the photo of late Lata Mangeshkar.
Sung the song 'Mere Angne Mein..' in New York
While sharing the story of 1981 at the event, Amitabh said that it was because of Lata ji that he got the opportunity to perform in international shows. The actor told that in a show held in New York, Lata ji had given him a chance to sing the song 'Mere Angne Mein..' from the film 'Lawaaris' on stage.
Let us tell you that after the demise of Lata Mangeshkar in February 2022, the family and trust had established the Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards in her memory. In 2022, this honor was first given to PM Narendra Modi.
Amitabh's upcoming film is Kalki in which he will be seen in the role of Ashwatthama.
