Amit Shah fake video case: Amit Shah deepfake video case; The Delhi High Court dismissed the plea seeking action









Leader Online Desk: Lok Sabha election campaigning is going on all over the country. Meanwhile, a deepfake video of the country's Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah has gone viral. Taking cognizance of this, a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court demanding action against the makers of the video. The Delhi High Court has said during the hearing that action cannot be ordered during the Lok Sabha elections. Court cannot give direction in the middle of election. Therefore, the Delhi High Court clarified that the decision in this regard will be taken by the Election Commission of India.

The Delhi High Court has asked the Election Commission of India to take a decision by Monday, May 6, on the lawyers' association's representation to frame guidelines against the circulation of deepfake videos during the Lok Sabha elections. (Amit Shah fake video case)
