Leaders Online Desk: Another case of brutal murder of an Indian has come to light in America. In one incident, Amarnath Ghosh, a famous Bharatnatyam and Kuchupudi dancer from Kolkata, was shot dead in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Amarnath's friend TV actress Devolina Bhattacharjee informed about the murder incident. In a post on X, Devolina requested the Indian Embassy and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to initiate an inquiry into the matter.

Indian Consulate in Chicago has taken serious notice of this incident. The Indian Embassy has said that it has seriously raised the issue of the investigation into the death of Indian dancer Amarnath Ghosh with the St. Louis police. In a social media post, the Indian Embassy expressed its condolences to Amarnath's family and friends.

“My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Amarnath Ghosh on his death in St. Louis, Missouri. We are following up with forensics, police to investigate and help,” said the Consulate of India in Chicago.

Another post said, “Embassy is providing all possible assistance to relatives of Amarnath Ghosh. St. Louis police and the university have been asked to investigate the matter.” Meanwhile, several Indians have been reported dead in different incidents in the US in the first two months of this year.

He also received a National Scholarship for Kuchipudi from the Ministry of International Culture.
