The Kerala government has decided to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a senior police officer to probe allegations of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry.

In fact, on August 19, former High Court judge Hema submitted a 295-page report to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the mistreatment of actresses in the Malayalam industry.

This report mentions serious issues like casting couch and sexual harassment going on in the Malayalam film industry. A copy of this report has also been handed over to the media under the RTI Act.

Women accused of wrong demand
The Commission's report raises questions on several incidents that took place within the film industry, which puts the work culture of the Malayalam film industry under question.

According to the report, many women working in the Malayalam film industry have alleged that wrong demands are made from them even before starting work.

It is written in the report that this is a world full of glamour in which everything looks fine from a distance but from the inside it is completely disgusting.

Recently, all the members of WICC (Women in Cinema Collective) also met the Kerala CM. This is an organization for women working in the Malayalam film industry.

Dominance of male actors and makers
The report also said that the Malayalam film industry is under the control of a few makers, directors and actors. All of them are men. They control the entire Malayalam film industry and dominate the people working there.

This group of powerful people has been called a 'mafia' because they have the power to ruin the careers of those who speak against them. The report claims that some big actors are part of this group.
