Meanwhile, Akshay also visited Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai. The actor also donated Rs 1 crore 21 lakh for the renovation of the Dargah there.

In this statement, Tahir wrote, 'The renovation of Haji Ali Dargah is going on. Meanwhile, Padma Shri and a true Mumbaikar Akshay Kumar was the first to respond with great warmth and devotion. On Thursday, he took the responsibility of renovating the Dargah and donated Rs 1 crore 21 lakh.'

Prayed for Akshay's parents
The statement further read- 'On this occasion, Managing Trustee of Haji Ali Dargah Trust and Mahim Dargah Trust Suhail Khandwani and his team welcomed Akshay. We prayed for Akshay's parents late Aruna Bhatia and late Hari Om Bhatia.'

Trolled for not donating in Kerala landslide
After the news of donating Rs 1.25 crore to the dargah came out, many social media users trolled Akshay. One user asked- 'Why did you not donate to the Kerala landslide victims'. At the same time, some users also said that the reason behind this donation was film promotion.

'Khel Khel Mein' will clash with 'Stree 2'
On the work front, Akshay's next film is 'Khel Khel Mein' which will be released on August 15 along with 'Stree 2' and 'Veda'. Apart from Akshay, actors like Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Amy Virk will also be seen in this film.
