Some time ago, Ajay Devgan had told that he had signed Mahesh Bhatt's film Zakhm while taking a bath. Now in a recent interview, Mahesh Bhatt has given his reaction on this incident.

Ajay's father Veeru Devgan and Mahesh Bhatt started their career together with the film Mera Gaon Mera Desh. Mahesh Bhatt also shared an anecdote about Veeru Devgan. He said, 'Veeru told me- why don't you cast my son in your film. If he works with you, he will become a good actor.

Mahesh shared the story of his first meeting with Ajay

Mahesh Bhatt shared the story of his first meeting with Ajay Devgan. He said- The first time I saw him, he was crossing the road near Chandan Cinema in Juhu. I stopped the car and called him. When he came, I saw silence in his eyes.

I told him that I have talked to your father and he wants me to work with you and we will do it.

A few days after this, I signed him opposite Naseeruddin Shah in the film Naajayaz. However, Ajay was nervous about working with Naseer sahab.

Ajay got his first National Award for the film Zakhm

The 1998 film Zakham was based on the life of Mahesh Bhatt's mother Shirin Mohammad Ali. The film starred Ajay Devgan, Pooja Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Kunal Khemu in the lead roles. Ajay received his first National Award for this film.

Let us tell you that after 1998, Mahesh Bhatt had stopped directing films. He was active as a producer. However, he returned to direction with the 2020 film Sadak 2.
