Censor Board has given 'U' certificate to Ajay Devgan's film 'Maidan' without any cuts. The length of the film is 3 hours 2 minutes. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada on the occasion of Eid.
The trailer of 'Maidan' was released in early March 2024.
'Maidan' is the biopic of Syed Abdul Rahim
Ajay starrer, this film is a sports drama biopic based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, who was the coach and manager of the Indian National Football Team from 1950 to 1963.
Ajay will be seen in the role of Rahim in the film. Priyamani has played the role of his wife. Apart from both of them, Gajraj Rao, Slochita and Rudranil Ghosh will also be seen in important roles in the film.
This film has been directed by Amit Sharma. He had earlier made 'Badhaai Ho'.
The film was stuck for 5 years
This film was announced in 2018. From then till now its release had been postponed about 5 times. Initially the set of this film was built in Dahisar where many sets like Olympic Ground and Running Track were built in 9 acres. There were 30 to 35 days of shooting left on this set, but due to the lockdown and the pandemic, the remaining portion could not be shot for a long time.
The cost of making this set was Rs 7 crore. The set of the film also suffered a lot of damage due to Cyclone Nisarga. This film has been directed by 'Badhaai Ho' fame director Amit Sharma. Its producer is Boney Kapoor.
This film has been produced by Boney Kapoor. After the losses due to Covid and Cyclone Nisarg, he has invested a lot of money on this film.
