Actor Vindu Dara Singh has shared an incident related to Ajay Devgan in a recent interview. Vindu told that once during a Holi party, he and many friends including Ajay were arrested by the police considering them to be goons.
Ajay-Vindu had gone out with friends on Holi.
In an interview given to YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Vindu shared an incident from Holi. Vindu said, 'On one Holi during my college days, I, Ajay and some of our friends planned to go out together. We all were roaming in the jeep on Bandra and Carter Road. After roaming around for a long time, we parked the jeep and went to a shop. When we came back, we saw police standing around our jeep.
Ajay Devgan's father Veeru Devgan was a famous action director of the 80s and 90s. He had directed action in more than 200 films.
Police got misunderstanding after seeing prop items: Vindu
The policemen asked us if this jeep was ours? We said- Yes… After this he started shouting, take them and put them inside. We asked what happened? So it came to light that there were prop swords and guns lying in our jeep to practice the action sequences. The policemen thought they were real and we were goons.
'Police are not ready to accept who we are'
The policemen took us and put us in the lockup at Bandra police station. Now we are tired of telling them that Sir, this is Ajay Devgan, son of Veeru Devgan and I am Vindu Dara Singh, son of Dara Singh, but they are not ready to accept it. Then somehow a famous actor was called and he accepted that we were really actors and released us.
Sanjay Dutt played an important role in the Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer film 'Son of Sardar', released in 2012. In the film, Vindu Duara Singh and Mukul Dev were seen in the roles of Sanjay's brothers.
Mirchi halwa served to everyone on the set of 'Son of Sardar'
In this interview, Vindu also shared an incident from Ajay's film 'Son of Sardar'. Vindu told, 'When we were shooting the film in Patiala, Kajol came to meet us on the set. That day, Ajay served carrot halwa to everyone on the set, saying that it was made by Kajol. As soon as people ate that halwa, they realized that it was chilli halwa. People are jumping after eating it. So Ajay does such pranks on the sets.
On the work front, Ajay's latest release is Shaitan. The film has done a business of Rs 15.21 crore at the Indian box office on the first day.
