After the claim on Arunachal, India hit China! | leader

Surat, news agency: By changing the names of places here along with Arunachal Pradesh by China, this area will not become China's. Today's India is not the India of 1962. China should take note of this. In the direct words of Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar rebuked China. India reacted strongly after China changed the names of 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and will always remain so, directly asking whether the name of a house has been changed or the nameplate on the house has been changed, Jaishankar said.

China changing the names won't make any difference. Jaishankar also explained that China has tried to change the names of places in Arunachal many times in the past.

On Monday, China once again staked its claim on Arunachal Pradesh and named 30 places in the state, including rivers, mountains, etc., after Chinese language. While reacting to this action of China, Jaishankar made the above statement.

Jaishankar answered various questions during the Corporate Summit 2024 held in Surat. He was also asked about China's claim regarding Arunachal and Ladakh. Jaishankar further said, our troops are deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). They know how to respond to any situation. The answer will be given if China takes the initiative. Today's India is not the India of 1962. No one should be under illusion. (India was defeated by China in 1962 war)

China's Ministry of Civil Affairs changed the names of 30 places

On Monday, it was announced that the names of 11 residential areas, 12 hills, 4 rivers, a lake and a mountain pass in Arunachal have been changed. New names were also introduced from Chinese, Tibetan and Roman languages. This is the fourth time in the last seven years that China has changed the names of places in Arunachal.

Will the names change because China kept them?

* There are certain rules and procedures at global level for name change.
* If a country wants to change the name of a place, it must first inform the United Nations Global Geographic Information Management Division.
* Later, UN geospatial experts visit the area. Only then is the name change approved and recorded.
* Most of the countries, including the US, have made it clear that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India.
